Mr. LeVake spent over four years as an Airborne Ranger, one of the Army's most elite fighting forces, where he supervised the planning, organizing, and training of a special operations team. Derrick provided expert training to various U.S. and international military units in the use of weapons systems, unconventional warfare, hand-to-hand combat, demolitions and security. Mr. LeVake also spent seven years in the Army Reserves, training Reserve and National Guard units in a variety of security related issues.
 
Since 1994 Mr. LeVake has been working privately in the field of executive protection. In 1996 Mr. LeVake was one of the original founders of Associated Protective Services and joined in the vision of developing the company. Derrick's most monumental and challenging contribution to the over all development and success of the company was the additions of the Wisconsin and Virginia offices.
 
Since founding the company, Mr. LeVake and associates have expanded the scope of the agency to include private investigations, due diligence, firearms training, martial arts training, executive protection training, high performance driving training and "Refuse To Be A Victim" seminars. Currently, Mr. LeVake is the Vice-President of Associated Protective Services Wisconsin and Virginia offices.
 
Among his accomplishments, Mr. LeVake is a Licensed Private Investigator, a Certified Protection Specialist, a Certified "Refuse To Be A Victim" Workshop Instructor, and a Certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. Businesses, celebrities, athletes and politicians have utilized Mr. LeVake's services as an executive protection agent and/or instructor to meet their individual safety and security needs.
